Hi, I'm Chris.
I've spent over 10 years helping businesses show up on Google -- and before that, I was the kid on Long Island who couldn't stop taking computers apart to see how they worked. This is that story.
How a kid from Long Island ended up running an SEO company
-
Born and raised on Long Island, New York
I grew up on Long Island, NY. There's something about being from New York that sticks with you -- a directness, a work ethic, a refusal to accept "that's just how it's done" as a good enough answer. That mindset ended up shaping how I run SerpUp more than any marketing course ever did.
-
Built my first website in 6th grade
Long before "SEO" meant anything to me, I was already obsessed with figuring out how the internet actually worked. I built my first website in 6th grade, and once I realized you could build something from nothing and put it in front of the entire world, I was hooked. That feeling never really left.
-
Told my school exactly who I'd become
When I was younger, my school asked all of us the classic question: what do you want to be when you grow up? I said computer programmer. Most kids' answers change a dozen times before they graduate high school. Mine didn't -- and I made it happen.
-
Over 10 years deep in SEO and digital marketing
That early obsession with building things turned into a real career in SEO and digital marketing, and I've now been doing this for over 10 years full-time. I've spent that time working inside different agencies, seeing firsthand what actually moves the needle for a business and what's just busywork dressed up in a monthly report. Eventually, that experience became SerpUp.

Still learning something new every single day
SEO doesn't sit still, and neither do I. Google changes, AI search is reshaping how people find businesses, and the tools keep evolving. I treat learning something new every day less like a chore and more like the same curiosity that got me building websites in 6th grade -- it just never really went away.
"I've always believed if you can build something real and put it in front of the right people, it works. That's true for a website in 6th grade, and it's true for a business trying to get found on Google today." -- Chris, Founder of SerpUp
When I'm not buried in rankings and reports
SEO is a big part of my life, but it's not the whole picture. Here's what else keeps me busy.
Working Out
Discipline in the gym and discipline in business go hand in hand for me.
Boxing
Nothing clears my head like time in the ring.
Reading
Always working through a book, usually more than one at a time.
Fishing
Being out on the water is about as far from a keyboard as I get, and I need that.
Technology
The same curiosity from 6th grade is still very much alive.
Animal Lover
I'm a sucker for animals, through and through.
Want to talk directly with the person doing the work?
When you work with SerpUp, you're not getting handed off to a stranger. You're working with me.
